Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Limited has informed the Exchange that Vide the company letter dated June 28, 2017 the company had informed that, the Company has shutdown the Ammonia, Urea and ABC plant for attending to Ammonia plant primary reformer furnace refractory repair. This is to inform exchange that the Company has commenced operations of Ammonia, Urea and Ammonia Bi-carbonate plants after carrying out refractory repair job in the primary reformer of the Ammonia plant.

In view of pre-monsoon rain resulting in sufficient inflow in the Thumbe reservoir, the water supply position is normalized and therefore the Urea production has commenced from June 5, 2016.

In view of non-availability of water, the urea production is stopped from May 7, 2016 and the production will resume once the water is available.

Thus, the Company has initiated operation of Ammonia and Urea plants at reduced capacity for next about 4 days and thereafter, depending upon availability of water, continuing operation of the Urea plant will be decided.
