Essar Shipping Ports & Logistics Limited has informed the Exchange that pursuant to the order dated March 01, 2011 of the Hon'ble High Court of Gujarat Sanctioning the Composite Scheme of Arrangement, the Board of Directors of the Company at the meeting held May 21, 2011 have considered and approved the issue and allotment of shares of the Company to all eligible members of the Company entitled to receive the shares in terms of the Scheme of Arrangement.

Essar Shipping Ports & Logistics Limited has informed the Exchange that the Committee has declared May 19, 2011 as the Record Date to ascertain the members who shall be entitled to receive the shares of the Company and also that of the Resulting Company i.e. Essar Shipping Limited post Demerger in terms of the approved scheme of Arrangement.

Essar Shipping Ltd. has informed the Exchange that the Annual General Meeting of the Company is scheduled to be held on July 31, 2009 to transact the business detailed in the Notice convening the AGM. The Register of Members and Share Transfer Books of the Company will remain closed from July 27, 2009 to July 31, 2009 (both days inclusive), for the purpose of AGM.
