Corporation Bank has informed the Exchange that the Bank got exemption vide Gazette of India notification dated January 15, 2014, under section 53 for section 15 (1) of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, in so far as treatment of the expenditure on account of one more option for pension for the financial year 2013-14 being treated as unamortised carry forward expenditure, before payment of such dividend for the financial year 2013-14.

Corporation Bank has informed the Exchange that in the meeting of Board of Directors of the Bank held on February 19, 2011, the Board, while approving the proposal of the Government of India to infuse Capital, has resolved to call an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Shareholders of the Bank on March 15, 2011 for approval of the preferential allotment of Equity Shares to the Government of India.

Corporation Bank has informed the Exchange on February 27, 2007 that: "In the meeting of the Board of Directors held on this day resolved the proposal for taking up the Primary Dealership business of CorpBank Securities Ltd. (CBSL) to funcion as Bank-PD departmentally with effect from 01.04.2007 subject to necessary approval".

Corporation Bank has informed the Exchange that in the Board Meeting of the Bank held on September 24, 2004, it was resolved the following: 'The Board discussed the issue of consolidation in the banking industry and decided that the identity of Corporation Bank should be protected and authorized the CMD to explore the possibility of acquisition of other banks in view of the comfortable capital adequacy of the Bank and its inherent strengths. It was also resolved that the Bank may explore possibility of acquisition of credit portfolio in bulk to increase the asset base.'
