Corporation Bank has informed the Exchange vide its letter dated January 17, 2008 that: "We have been informed by the Indian Banks' Association that the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) has given a call for strike on Friday the 25th January, 2008 throughout the country in support of some of their demands. A section of our employees may take part in the proposed strike on the said day, if the strike materialises. Corporation Bank has informed the Exchange that "Our Bank has entered into Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with CRISIL Ltd. for Rating of Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Small Scale Industries (SSIs) and Facility Rating of corporates as required under BASEL II. Corporation Bank has informed the Exchange vide its letter dated September 06, 2007 that "Corporation Bank has joined GE Money India, LIC Housing Finance Limited and LIC Mutual Fund to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Life Insurance Corporation of India today to create a new Credit card Company that would leverage the strengths of each Company. The parties aim to finalise the definitive agreements by end of October 2007".

Corporation Bank had informed the Exchange that the Board of Directors has approved to issue Tier - II Capital Bonds up to Rs.500 crore in one or more tranches.
