Members of the Exchange are hereby informed that the trading in equity shares of CMC Limited shall be suspended w.e.f. September 30, 2015 (i.e. closing hours of trading on September 29, 2015) on account of Scheme of Amalgamation with Tata Consultancy Services Limited.

Spurt in Volume : Substantial increase in trading volumes have been observed in CMC Limited. The Exchange, in order to ensure that investors have latest relevant information about the company and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the company. CMC Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, " We wish to submit that no material event requiring initimation to Stock Exchanges as per clause 36 of the Listing Agreement has happened."

News Verification : The media had reports that Cmc Ltd may merge with TCS.
