CMC Limited has informed the Exchange that at the Board Meeting of the Company held on October 16, 2014, the Directors have approved the Scheme of Amalgamation of the Company with Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS), based on the recommendation of the Audit Committee. The share exchange ratio for this is proposed at 79 equity shares of Re. 1 each of TCS for every 100 equity shares of Rs. 10 each of CMC. Further, the Company has submitted a copy of the press release dated October 16, 2014 titled "CMC Limited to amalgamate with TCS".

Cmc Ltd has informed the Exchange that due to reclassification of the accounts managed or advised by the Aberdeen Asset Management Asia Limited now hold a total of 1,283,928 shares in CMC Limited for which Aberdeen Asset Management Asia Limited have been given proxy rights, which amounts to 8.47% of the Company's issued shares.

Cmc Ltd has informed the Exchange that M/s Aberdeen International India Opportunities have sold 20,000 shares of CMC Ltd. on November 16, 2004. Consequently, M/s Aberdeen Asset Management Asia Ltd. now own 741,018 equity shares of Cmc Ltd (4.8912%) ceasing to be a substantial shareholder of Cmc Ltd.

Aberdeen Asset Management Asia Ltd. have informed the Exchange that they have sold 20,000 shares of CMC Ltd. on November 16, 2004. The shareholding of Aberdeen Asset Management Asia Ltd. after the said sale is 741018 shares representing 4.89% of the total share capital of CMC Ltd.
