Chemfab Alkalis Limited has informed the Exchange that Company s Quality Assurance (QA) Laboratory at Puducherry Plant has been granted Accreditation for Chemical Testing in accordance with ISO 17025-2005 by National Accreditation Board for testing & calibration laboratories (NABL). NABL is an autonomous Institution under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Company' s QA Laboratory is the first laboratory in India and the Chlor-alkali sector to be given this accreditation for analysis of chlor-alkali related samples.

Chemfab Alkalis Limited has informed the Exchange that Chemfab Alkalis Limited, Puducherry Plant, has bagged the following award, recently:National Energy Conservation Award, 2016 - First Prize in appreciation of the achievements in Energy Conservation in Chlor Alkali Sector awarded by Government of India, Ministry of Power.

Chemfab Alkalis Limited has informed the Exchange that the company, Puducherry Plant , has bagged the following awards , recently : 1) FICCI Chemicals and Petrochemicals Awards 2016 , for the most Environment friendly Company in the Chemicals sector . 2) First Place in the Chemicals sector for the CII Southern Region Environment Health and Safety ( EHS ) Awards 2015 -16. 3)Special Commendation for the Golden Peacock Environment Management Awards 2016.

Chemfab Alkalis Limited has informed the Exchange that the Company has commenced its Commercial Operations by producing and dealing in the product Industrial Grade Salt at its Mariyur Unit on August 24, 2016.

Chemfab Alkalis Limited has informed the Exchange that the revamping work has been completed, and both the plants are now in operation.

Chemfab Alkalis Limited has informed the Exchange that further to the Company's announcement dated August 11, 2014 out of two plants, one has been restarted on August 19, 2014 and the second plant is expected to be commissioned after completion of the revamping work by next week.

Chemfab Alkalis Limited has informed the Exchange that the Plant at Kalapet, Puducherry, will be shut for about a week from August 12, 2014 on account of the revamping activities, for replacement of certain old machineries / equipments. This will affect the Production and Sales, during the above mentioned period.

Chemfab Alkalis Limited has informed the Exchange that Mr.J.Venkataraman, Director of the Company has resigned from the Board with effect from July 25, 2014 and his resignation has been accepted by the Board.

Chemfab Alkalis Limited has informed the Exchange that the Expert Committee has inspected the industry and are satisfied with the compliance of the recommendations made by them. The Hon'ble High Court heard the Writ Petition on April 29, 2011 and passed the Orders directing the Government Authorities to allow the company to recommence the plant operations. The Company is taking steps to recommence the plant operations.

Chemfab Alkalis Limited has informed the Exchange that:"Further to our writ petition filed with the Hon'ble High Court of Judicature at Madras seeking to direct the Government to recommence the operation of the plant, we wish to inform that the High Court has ordered an interim direction to the Government authorities to allow the company to open the industry and run for two days and thereafter Authorities shall inspect the industry. Chemfab Alkalis Limited has informed the Exchange that there was a minor Chlorine leak on January 26, 2011 at 0800 hours in the Company's Plant and the District Magistrate, Puducherry and the Puducherry Pollution Control Committee had ordered closure of the Plant Operations until further orders and investigations. The Company has complied with the orders to facilitate investigations by the Government authorities. The Company is cooperating with the Government authorities to resolve the matter.

Chemfab Alkalis Limited had informed the Exchange regarding the suspension of operations at Chlorates Division of the company. The company has now informed the Exchange that the Chlorates Division is closed with effect from June 03, 2009 due to continued labour unrest.

Chemfab Alkalis Limited has informed the Exchange that the Company proposes to seek the approval of its Directors, through a Circular Resolution, for a proposal to shift the Registered Office of the Company from the Union Territory of Puducherry to the State of Tamilnadu and the consequent need to initiate a Postal Ballot Process, towards obtaining the approval of the Shareholders of the Company for altering the Situation Clause of the Memorandum of Association, under the provisions of Section 17 of the Companies Act, 1956.

Chemfab Alkalis Limited has informed the Exchange that: "Titanium Equipment and Anode Manufacturing Company Limited (TEAM) who are one of the Shareholders of this Company, belonging to the Promoter's Group (holding 866675 shares) have sent an intimation to us, that they have acquired further 13783 shares from the open market. The aggregate number of shares held by TEAM after this acquisition now stands at 880458 shares".

Chemfab Alkalis Limited has informed the Exchange that Titanium Equipment and Anode Manufacturing Company Limited (TEAM) who are one of the Shareholders of this Company belonging to the Promoter's Group (holding 8,32,458 shares), have sent an intimation to company saying that they have acquired a further 34,217 Shares of the Company from the open market. The aggregate number of shares held by TEAM after this acquisition comes to 8,66,675.
