Vijaya Bank has informed the Exchange that in respect of the proposed merger of Vibank Housing Finance Ltd with the parent Bank, i.e. Vijaya Bank, the said merger proposal was filed with the High Court of Karnataka. Vijaya Bank has now further informed that the High Court of Karnataka has approved the scheme of Amalgamation of Vibank Housing Finance Ltd. with Vijaya Bank. A certified copy of the High Court order will also be filed with ROC, Bangalore and as per the order Vibank Housing Finance Ltd will merge with Vijaya Bank on August 31, 2005.
