Ltd. on September 28, 2011, for sale/transfer of the Company's REDI Business Unit situated in Sindhudurg Maharashtra could not be consummated by the long stop date (i.e. March 28, 2012) due to some irreconcilable issues and that both parties have decided to terminate the BTA by mutual consent on March 30, 2012. Tata Metaliks Limited has informed the Exchange that TML has vide its letter dated June 08, 2011 terminated the agreement dated December 03, 2010 entered into with M/s Global Coke Limited for setting up of coke conversion plant on BOOT basis at the Kharagpur unit of the Company.

Tata Metaliks Limited has informed the Exchange that the Board of Directors of the Company has at its meeting held on April 26, 2011 approved the relining of Mini Blast Furnace (MBF) # 2 at the Kharagpur unit of the Company and change in profile of the furnace for increasing the working volume from 215m3 to 259 m3 (20% increase) resulting into increase in hot metal production by about 17,000 mt at an estimated expenditure of Rs.28cr.

Tata Metaliks Ltd has informed the Exchange that the 110,000 TPA Ductile Iron Pipe manufacturing facility of M/s Tata Metaliks Kubota Pipes Limited, (subsidiary of Tata Metaliks Limited) has been inaugurated at Kharagpur on March 07, 2009 by Mr. B Muthuraman, Managing Director Tata Steel Ltd. The plant is set up within the premises of Tata Metaliks Pig Iron Plant at Kharagpur. Trial runs at the DI Pipe Plant have commenced.

Tata Metaliks Ltd has informed the Exchange that "Government of Maharashtra has conveyed approval of Central Government under section 5(1) of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 for grant of Prospecting License for Iron Ore over an area of 154.80 ha. in village Dongarpal, tahsil- Sawantwadi, Sindhudurg, Maharashtra for a period of two years, to Tata Metaliks Limited, subject to fulfilment of requisite formalities".

Tata Metaliks Ltd has informed the Exchange that "Further to our letter dated November 17, 2008, Company has informed that the repair-work for MBF#2 at Kharagpur is not complete and the same is likely to continue till end of December 2008."

Tata Metaliks Ltd has informed the Exchange that "The MBF#2 at Kharagpur will be shutdown w.e.f. 18th November 2008, for a period of about 3-weeks for repair of the furnace. During this period only one furnace(MBF#1) will be operated at 400 TPD level and the total production at Kharagpur Plant, will be reduced to 40% of the rated capacity".
