News Verification : The media had reports that a leading financial institution may pick up substantial stake in SREI Infrastructure Finance Limited. The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company. SREI Infrastructure Finance Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "We are not aware of the basis for the said news. We would like to clarify that we are not aware of any such development on the reported news."
