This is as a consequence of the recent accident at the Company's Plant at Sirpur-Kaghaznagar which led to loss of production due to shut down of the factory for a period of 40 days and also owing to difficult market conditions. The lead lender Bank has made a reference to the Corporate Debt Restructuring (CDR) Cell for comprehensive restructuring of the Company's debt.

The Sirpur Paper Mills Limited has informed the Exchange that the major repairs to the Chemical (Soda) Recovery Plant at mills at Sirpur Kaghaznagar, which was damaged in the accident, was completed on May 14, 2012 and the production is being resumed in a phased manner.
