Rpg Cables Ltd has informed the Exchange that "The Company has sold and transferred 36418 sq.mtrs of surplus land situated at Pokhran Road No. 2, Thane, Maharashtra for an aggregate consideration of Rs. 51.50 crs. to Windsor Realty Private Limited. The sale of surplus land will not impact the existing manufacturing operations and/or affect the existing workmen as the manufacturing operations will continue as usual on the balance portion of about 29,342 sq.mtrs of land at the same location".

Rpg Cables Ltd has informed the Exchange that by an Order passed by Hon'ble Delhi High Court and based on the audited balance sheet for the financial year ended March 31, 2009, the Company has been discharged from the purview of the Sick Industrial Companies (Special Provisions) Act, 1985 with immediate effect.

Rpg Cables Ltd had informed the Exchange regarding an appeal preferred against the order of Hon'ble BIFR in respect of the sale of the surplus property of the Company at Thane. The Company has now informed the Exchange that the said appeal was filed on the ground that the Appellants were not heard in the matter before the Order of sale. The Appellate Authority has now directed Hon'ble BIFR to give hearing to the aggrieved party before the sale of this property at Thane is confirmed.

Rpg Cables Ltd has informed the Exchange regarding the notice published in the newspaper on May 21, 2008 inviting tender bids for the sale of portion of the Land situated at Pokhran Road no. 2, Thane pursuant to the BIFR order dated 8.04.2008. Pursuant to the appeal filed against the aforesaid order, the Hon'ble Appellate Authority for Industrial & Financial Reconstruction (AAIFR) has fixed the final hearing on June 27, 2008 for disposal of appeal. Accordingly, the tender process for sale of aforesaid property has been provisionally delayed.

Rpg Cables Ltd has informed the Exchange that: "The Hon'ble Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction of India (BIFR) has directed State Bank of India, the Operating Agency (OA) of the Company to constitute an Asset Sale Committee (ASC) for the sale of a portion of Land of the Company situated at Majiwade, Thane, Maharashtra. The ASC has approved the tender documents for inviting bids from the prospective buyers and a public notice in this regard will be published in the newspapers shortly".
