Piramal Glass Limited has informed the Exchange with reference to the news items appearing in the news paper title "Piramals now looking to sell glass biz", that "The information referred to in the news articles is baseless".

News Verification : The media had reports that Piramal Glass Limited may sell its glass business to Hindustan National Glass & Industries. The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company. Piramal Glass Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "We would like to confirm that the information referred to in the news article is baseless."
