Nicco Corporation Limited has informed the Exchange that a fire broke out at the location of the Registered Office of the Company at "Nicco House", 2, Hare Street Kolkata 700 001 on March 27, 2009 at approximately 2:30 pm. The fire started in the premises of some other Company on the second floor and later spread to other floors in the building. The building also houses the offices of a large number of other unrelated and outside Companies, including a Nationalised Bank. Fire fighters tackled the fire and the same was brought under control.
