Khaitan Electricals Limited has informed the Exchange that at the Joint Lenders Forum (JLF) meeting, the Lenders have invoked Strategic Debt Restructuring (SDR) in the Company and adopted the Reference Date for the purpose as August 17, 2016. It was also decided that another JLF meeting will be held to decide the way forward in this regard.

All the workers dues have been settled. The production facility at Kolkata Works has been shifted to our Hyderabad Works situated at 129, Sri Venkateswara Co-op, Industrial Estate, IDA, Bollaram 502 320 and Faridabad Works situated at Plot No. 14, Sector 6, Faridabad 121 006.

KHAITAN ELECTRICALS LTD. has informed the Exchange that there was a fire accident at Company's Hyderabad Works situated at 129, Sri Venkateshwara Co-op. Industrial Estate IDA, Bollaram - 502 320, Medak Dist. (A.P.) on May 10, 2015. The estimated value of the Raw materials, Work in Progress, Finished Goods and / or Plant & Machinery that are destroyed / damaged are being worked out. The above mentioned assets / goods are fully insured for fire. Company do not expect any major disruption in our operations on account of the above.

KHAITAN ELECTRICALS LTD. has informed the Exchange that in view of negligible production, the Management has declared "temporary suspension of work till further notice" at its Kolkata Works. The Management is of the view that such suspension of work is not likely to have any major impact on the overall performance at its Hyderabad and Faridabad Works and intend to transfer the workers of Kolkata Works to Hyderabad and Faridabad Works.

Assets of the facility are adequately covered by Insurance. Fire is now extinguished and quantum of loss cannot be ascertained immediately."
