UltraTech Cement Limited, a company of Aditya Birla Group, for sale of its Gujarat Cement Plant comprising an integrated 2.4 MTPA Cement Plant at Kutch and a 2.4 MTPA Cement Grinding Unit at Wanakbori, through a Scheme of Arrangement pursuant to Sections 391-394 of the Companies Act, 1956 at an Enterprise Value of Rs.3800 Crores. Jaiprakash Associates Limited has informed the Exchange that: "As already approved by the shareholders, the Company has on 21st February, 2008, signed the Shareholders' Agreement with Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) for setting up of 2.1 MTPA capacity slag-based Cement Plant at Bokaro Steel City, Jharkand in Joint venture through a Special Purpose Vehicle to be incorporated for the purpose. Our Company shall hold 74% equity in the Joint Venture Company and 26% equity of the same shall be held by SAIL".

JAL shall be holding 74% stake in the Joint Venture, while 26% shall be held by SAIL".
