Jindal Cotex Limited has informed the Exchange that Board of Directors of the company at its meeting held on June 5, 2010 has, inter alia, approved the opening of GDR (Global Depository Receipt) issue for an aggregate amount up to US$-50 millions after obtaining the requisite regulatory approvals. The minimum issue price of the said GDRs i.e. for the underlying Equity Shares has been determined at Rs.86/- per Equity share as per the amended guidelines vide circular F.No.9/8/2006-ECB dated November 27, 2008 issued by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India.

Jindal Cotex Limited has informed the Exchange that "In the expansion plan of 28800 cotton spindles to be set up at Village Mandiala Kalan, Tehsil Khanna, Dist. Ludhiana, the company has installed 13200 spindles, out of which commercial production of 8400 spindles has been started and production of 4800 spindles will be started in the coming month. The balance spindles have already been ordered and will be commissioned in due course of time".
