Jbf Industries Limited has informed the Exchange that JBF Industries had entered in a Derivative Contract for an ECB loan in JPY terms for an amount equivalent to USD 20mn to hedge the foreign exchange and interest cost. The observation period for this Derivative Contract started in July 2010 and ends in July 2013. The Company had repaid 20% of the Loan amount in July 2011. The Company has now paid additional 60% of the loan amount on July 04, 2012. Pursuant to this, the outstanding Loan amount and Derivative Contracts gets reduced to 20% of the loan which will be paid in July 2013.

Jbf Industries Limited has informed the Exchange that JBF Petrochemicals Ltd wholly owned subsidiary of the Company has entered into an agreement with BP for licensing BP's latest generation Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) technology. JBF intends to build a 1.25 million tonnes per annum (tpa) unit at Mangalore SEZ, in Mangalore, India, to produce PTA, the primary feedstock for polyesters used in textiles and packaging. JBF expects the Mangalore plant to come on stream at the end of 2014.
