    Jaypee Hotels Ltd has informed the Exchange that vide its letter dated May 15, 2009 "The Hon'ble High Court of Judicature at Allahabad has today sanctioned the Scheme of Amalgamation of Jaypee Hotels Ltd., Jaypee Cement Ltd., Jaiprakash Enterprises Ltd. and Gujarat Anjan Cement Ltd. with Jaiprakash Associates Ltd. The formal Order of the High Court will follow in due course."

    Jaypee Hotels Ltd has informed the Exchange that "accepting the recommendation of its Committee of Directors, subject to the requisite approvals and sanction of the Scheme by Hon'ble High Court, the Board of Directors of the Company in their meeting held on December 22, 2008, have inter-alia approved the amalgamation of the Company (Transferor Company) with Jaiprakash Associates Limited (the Transferee Company) with effect from April 01, 2008, being the Appointed Date.
